DTF Printer 30X or 60X: Which One to Choose for Your Production
Both print DTF transfers on PET film, but they feature different printheads, hourly output, and widths. Compare the numbers and choose based on your volume.
Published on . Values from official technical spec sheets.

Textile DTF Printer PRIME 30X
30 cm textile DTF printer for garment printing.

Textile DTF Printer PRIME 60X
60 cm textile DTF printer for garment printing.
The PRIME DTF Têxtil 30X and PRIME DTF Têxtil 60X do the same job: they print the artwork onto PET film to later transfer the print to fabric using adhesive powder and a heat press. The difference lies in the output each sustains per hour and the film width you can utilize.
In practice, the choice comes down to three questions: how many square meters do you need to print per day, whether your artwork fits within 30 cm or requires 60 cm, and whether your space and volume justify a continuous production machine.

Which DTF printer produces more, the 30X or the 60X?
According to the spec sheet, the PRIME 60X produces up to 10 m²/h (in 360x10800 dpi mode) and the PRIME 30X produces 6 m²/h. The 60X uses two Epson i3200-A1 printheads and the 30X uses two Epson i1600-A1 printheads.
Is the PRIME 60X suitable for small prints?
Yes. With a 60 cm width, you can nest multiple smaller artworks side by side on the same meter of film, reducing media waste across mixed production runs.
Do both use the same film and the same adhesive powder?
Both print on special PET film for DTF, with adjustable thickness from 1.5 mm to 8 mm. Film and powder compatibility must be confirmed with the TEKNOVA technical team.
What is the media cost of each one?
TEKNOVA provides as a reference R$ 7.57 per linear meter of 30 x 100 cm and R$ 15.14 per linear meter of 60 x 100 cm. These values do not represent the total production cost: confirm what is included, as well as the ink, powder, power, and labor costs for your operation.
Do I need a heat press in addition to the printer?
Yes. The printer produces the transfer on PET film; application to the fabric is done with a heat press after curing the adhesive powder.
Does TEKNOVA provide support in choosing between 30X and 60X?
Yes. The team provides guidance based on your production volume, print width, and available space, and offers online training, remote installation, lifetime technical support, and a 12-month warranty.
