How to choose a CNC router for woodworking?

Choosing a CNC router for woodworking begins with the sheet size you work with. If the machine is smaller than the sheet, you will need to cut the sheet beforehand; if it is much larger than your needs, you take up space without any production gain.

Work area: the AMERICAN 1525 has an area of 150 × 250 cm; the AMERICAN 2030, 223 × 365 cm; and the AMERICAN 2050, 223 × 565 cm. The 2050 allows you to place more than one sheet on the table at the same time, reducing downtime between jobs.

Sheet clamping: all three use a special matrix vacuum table. The 1525 has 1 vacuum pump; the 2030 and 2050 have 2 pumps, which helps hold larger sheets securely during cutting.

Spindle and motion: all three models feature a 4.5 kW spindle up to 24,000 rpm, air-cooled, with an option for a second 3.0 kW motor. Maximum idle speed is 20 m/min, X and Y axes use rack and pinion, the Z axis uses a ball screw, and the maximum working height is up to 20 cm.

Materials and software: spec sheets indicate wood, MDF, acrylic, ACM, PVC, and PS. The controller is DDCS, communication is via USB and network cable, and files can be prepared in Artcam or Ucancam.

Practical summary: the 1525 serves woodworking shops with limited space and smaller parts; the 2030 is the choice for processing full MDF sheets; the 2050 serves those who need more area for mass production. The TEKNOVA team helps you confirm the model based on your furniture type and volume.
